Bona Bones

Bona Bones is a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts holding a B.F.A. in Experimental Animation and an M.F.A. in Animation from the University of Edinburgh- Edinburgh College of Art.

In 2016 she was awarded the Helen Hill Teaching Fellowship at Dartmouth College, where she focused on pursuing a career in arts education.

In 2019 she began a position as Assistant Professor of Animation at the Kansas City Art Institute. She has a wide range of credits in commercial, feature and television animation. Her primary focus is stop motion animation and directing.

While typically found in the animation department, she has also has experience as a seamstress, puppet/set fabricator and production designer.
